Banner Health breaks ground on $54M sports medicine center

Phoenix-based Banner Health broke ground on a $54 million sports medicine facility in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Four things to know:

1. The facility will be three stories and 80,000 square feet, according to an April 27 news release.

2. It will house orthopedic and sports medicine services and an outpatient surgery center.

3. Plans were first unveiled in 2020.

4. Initially, the project was slated to open in late 2022, but now it is projected to open in 2023.
