1. MemorialCare Orange Coast Medical Center in Fountain Valley, Calif., announced it has been 99.9 percent opiate-free for six years.

2. California spine surgeon Kee Kim, MD, completed his 100th spine procedure using Globus Medical’s ExcelsiusGPS robot at the UC Davis Spine Center in Sacramento.

3. California orthopedic surgeon Donald Bittner, MD, began training Ukrainian surgeons in trauma care amid the country’s conflict with Russia.
