The STRiDE (Spondylolisthesis Treated with an iO-Flex System enabled Decompression) study is designed to test the effectiveness of the system in treating patients with spinal stenosis and stable grade I degenerative spondylolisthesis. The trial will compare the system to the current standard of care.
The trial will enroll up to 150 patients at 30 medical centers, with an approximate endpoint of two years. Jed Vanichkachorn, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Tuckahoe Orthopaedics in Richmond, Va., recently performed the first clinical study case.
