Two Surgeons Perform Successful Spine Surgery for Colts Quarterback Peyton Manning

Robert Watkins Sr., MD, and his son Robert Watkins, Jr., MD, both spine surgeons at Marina Spine Center in Marina del Rey, Calif., recently performed spine surgery on Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, according to an Indianapolis Star report.

Drs. Watkins and Watkins performed a single-level anterior cervical fusion for Mr. Manning’s disc herniation. The procedure was successful and Mr. Manning is now recovering from the procedure. He is expected to begin a postoperative rehabilitation program soon.
