Study: Chondroitin Sulfate Eased Pain of Hand Arthritis

A new study finds the supplement chondroitin sulfate is effective for relieving joint pain in patients with osteoarthritis of the hand, according to a WebMD report.

Researchers Switzerland found patients using chondroitin sulfate had less pain and stiffness in the hands.

 

Chondroitin sulfate is sold in the United States as a dietary supplement, usually in combination with glucosamine, another cartilage derivative.
