Sports medicine specialist to lead Adventist Health training program

Casey Batten, MD, was named medical director of the Adventist Health Simi Valley (Calif.) athletic training program.

The Adventist Health Simi Valley training program was established in 2019 and provides full-time athletic trainers for partner schools, according to a Feb. 11 news release. It is a collaboration among six area school districts.

He specializes in sports medicine and is also director of primary care sports medicine for the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles. Dr. Batten is also the lead primary care sports medicine physician for the Los Angeles Rams.
