DePuy Synthes buys orthopedic medtech company

DePuySynthes, the orthopedic arm of Johnson & Johnson, acquired CrossRoads Extremity Systems.

CrossRoads Extremity Systems is based in Memphis, Tenn., and manufactures implants and instruments for elective foot and ankle procedures, according to a Feb. 10 news release. Its portfolio includes the dynaBunion4D, miniBunion3D and DynaForce staple compression plates.

Healthpoint Capital completed the sale to DePuy Synthes. The private equity firm acquired a majority stake in CrossRoads in 2019. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
