2 physicians named co-directors of Hospital for Special Surgery’s Women’s Sports Medicine Center

New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery named Marci Goolsby, MD, and Beth Shubin Stein, MD, as co-directors of the HSS Women’s Sports Medicine Center.

Dr. Goolsby is a sports medicine physician, and Dr. Shubin Stein is a sports medicine surgeon, according to a Feb. 3 news release. They replace co-directors and co-founders Lisa Callahan, MD, and Jo Hannafin, MD, PhD.

The Women’s Sports Medicine Center sees about 80,000 patients annually, including Olympic athletes and professional team members. It was founded in 1997 and consists of sports medicine-trained clinicians including physicians, nutritionists, exercise physiologists, physical therapists and sports psychologists.
