The settlement was confirmed in federal bankruptcy proceedings in Indianapolis, according to a Dec. 13 New York Daily News report. TIG Insurance will pay a large amount of the settlement money awarded to victims, including Olympic stars Simone Biles, Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Nassar was convicted in 2017 on child pornography charges with a 60-year sentence. The next year, the former U.S. women’s gymnastics team physician was handed a 175-year sentence for a pattern of sexual molestation.
