The orthopedic center will be housed in a hospital facility the health system acquired in April 2018. Renovations created eight new operating rooms, and the center will be able to host up to 14 patients at a time.

“The number of people who need work like hip or knee replacements is growing rapidly and is a group that’s getting younger, so a facility like this is needed here,” Renee Peebles, executive director of West Tennessee Healthcare, told the newspaper.

Additional features include an expansive lobby, a cafeteria and new offices.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
