The software doesn’t require CT imaging and uses the company’s Target Zone Visualizer to offer a functional acetabular cup target specific to each patient. It integrates with the company’s Hip navigation system.
“The creation of Intellijoint View is in direct response to surgeon demand for a simple, web-based open platform preoperative planning tool that can integrate seamlessly with Intellijoint Hip for delivery in the operating room,” co-founder and CEO Armen Bakirtzian said in a news release.
Intellijoint Surgical is based in Canada and develops surgical planning and navigation products for joint replacements.
