The two organizations are collaborating on building an ASC at Flagler’s Durbin Park campus in St. Johns, Fla.

The affiliation could also include opportunities for orthopedic research and education, sports medicine clinics, rehabilitation centers and school-based programs.

In February 2020, Flagler launched its Orthopedic Specialists practice, which has facilities in Palm Coast, St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra, Fla. The Andrews Institute partnership aims to optimize talent and resources and develop a wider network of sports medicine providers and services in Northeast Florida.

“We are excited to bring our experience and proven model for delivering the world’s most advanced sports medicine to the residents of Northeast Florida,” James Andrews, MD, said in a July 23 news release. “It is important for us to align with organizations that share our commitment to innovation, quality and patient-centered care and we have found that partner in Flagler Health+.”

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
