He was named division chief of orthopedic surgery and service line medical director of the Children’s Orthopaedic Center, according to a July 19 news release.
He’ll provide administrative and clinical leadership to the orthopedic surgery department and lead strategic planning for the Children’s Orthopaedic Center’s programs. Dr. Kay has been vice chief of the Children’s Orthopaedic Center since 2009, and he joined the hospital in 1997 as medical director of the John C. Wilson Jr. Motion and Sports Analysis Laboratory.
Dr. Kay is active in orthopedic medical societies and has published more than 130 peer-reviewed articles and 20 book chapters.
