He replaces Mark Farrington, who resigned in January. CFO Mike Radomski will remain interim CEO until Mr. Vorherr starts on July 19. Mr. Vorherr said he looks forward to expanding research capabilities and improving patient outcomes in the new role.
“I feel privileged to be a steward of one of this region’s indispensable organizations,” he said.
Mr. Vorherr is currently president and COO of Columbus, Ohio-based Mount Carmel Medical Group. There, he oversaw more than 300 clinicians with the multispecialty medical group. Before that, he was vice president at Mercy Health Cincinnati and served in leadership roles at health systems in South Carolina and Missouri.
