Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Dominic Kleinhenz of University Orthopedics

Dominic Kleinhenz, MD, is a spine surgeon at Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics.

He specializes in a variety of spinal conditions including disc herniation, spine trauma and spine deformity. He received his medical degree from the Gainesville-based University of Florida College of Medicine and completed a residency at Providence, R.I.-based Miriam Hospital, a teaching hospital of Brown University.

Dr. Kleinhenz also completed a spine surgery fellowship at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital, both in Providence. He was reportedly the first spine surgeon in Rhode Island to implant the M6-C artificial cervical disc in February 2020.
