The commission is responsible for a range of issues, including quality assurance, medical control, scope of practice and medical standards of curricula.
Dr. Osbahr is managing director and chief of orthopedic surgery at Rothman Orthopaedic Institute in Florida. Since 2013, he has served as a USA Baseball team physician and a member of USA Baseball’s medical and safety advisory committee.
His experience in the professional sports world includes serving as an orthopedic consultant for the Washington Nationals, Atlanta Braves and USA Baseball, and chief medical officer and head orthopedic surgeon for the Orlando City Soccer Club.
Additionally, Dr. Osbahr is an attending surgeon with Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth and a professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando.
