8.9% Increase in Pain Medication Sales Since 2005
According to a news release by Reportlinker, the global market in pain medications logged $22 billion in sales in 2010, rising at a compound annual growth rate of 8.9 percent since 2005. The growth was dominated by five blockbuster pain drugs: OxyContin, Lyrica, Cymbalta and Lidoderm.
