1. Leesa Galatz, MD, was awarded the Orthopaedic Research Society’s 2021 Women’s Leadership Forum Award. 

2. Stephen Murphy, MD, performed the first total hip replacement with Surgical Planning Associates’ augmented reality intraoperative guidance system, HipInsight. 

3. The orthopedic surgeon community is remembering J. Barton Williams, MD, who died Feb. 8 at age 36. He worked at Memphis, Tenn.-based OrthoSouth.
