“For many years Florida residents have traveled to New York for HSS care, but the enthusiastic reception in our Florida location is even greater than we anticipated,” Louis Shapiro, president and CEO of HSS, said in a Feb. 1 news release.
In June, HSS Florida launched an outpatient total joint replacement program. Martin Roche, MD, a pioneer of sensor- and robotic-assisted knee surgery, was appointed director of hip and knee arthroplasty last month.
HSS Florida aims to become an international Center of Excellence for hip and knee replacements, Mr. Shapiro said.
