Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Russel Huang of Hospital for Special Surgery

Russel Huang, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery.

He’s the director of HSS’ spine surgery clinic, according to the hospital’s website. He’s published and lectured on topics including minimally invasive surgery, lumbar stenosis and spinal fusion.

Dr. Huang received his medical degree from Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. He completed an orthopedic residency at HSS and spine surgery fellowship training at Cleveland-based Case Western Reserve University. His awards include being named a Top Doctor by New York Magazine and Castle Connolly from 2014-20.
