Five details:
1. The seller, Milwaukee-based healthcare consulting firm Hammes Co., purchased the hospital for $20.3 million in May 2019.
2. MB Real Estate Healthcare acquires, develops, leases and manages healthcare facilities along with its affiliated fund manager, ROA Holdings, according to its website.
3. The transaction, which closed Jan. 6., is a real estate deal, with operations continuing as normal, Arizona Spine & Joint Hospital CEO Bob Smith told Phoenix Business Journal.
4. The facility has 28 physicians including seven spine surgeons and eight total joint specialists. It has four operating rooms, two pain treatment rooms and 23 beds.
5. San Francisco-based Dignity Health partly owns the physician-owned hospital in a joint venture with physicians and Tennessee-based Surgery Partners.
