Dr. Cyril DeSilva Performs Cervical Artificial Disc Replacement in Florida

Neurosurgeon Cyril DeSilva, MD, performed an artificial cervical disc replacement for a patient in Florida last month, who returned to her position as a Florida Highway Patrol officer two weeks after the surgery, according to a News Herald report.

The patient sustained an injury to her spine during a car accident and suffered from impingement. She was the first patient in the area to undergo an artificial cervical disc replacement. Dr. DeSilva used the PRESTIGE cervical disc.
