The Core Institute expands orthopedic cancer care

Phoenix-based The Core Institute has strengthened its orthopedic cancer care through a partnership established in October with Cancer Treatment Centers of America Phoenix.

Three things to know:

1. Amalia De Comas, MD, and Andre Hagevik, MD, are now seeing patients at Cancer Treatment Centers of America as well as at their respective offices in Mesa and Sun City, Ariz.

2. Dr. De Comas specializes in adult and pediatric musculoskeletal oncology. Dr. Hagevik focuses on conditions related to intracranial disease and tumors affecting the spinal cord.

3. Founded in 2005, The Core Institute has grown to include more than 180 providers at 19 locations in Arizona and Michigan, according to its website.
