Dr. Christian Royer named to Texas advisory committee

Orthopedic surgeon Christian Royer, MD, has been appointed to a healthcare advisory committee formed by Texas state Rep. Jared Patterson, R-Texas.

Three things to know:

1. The six-member panel was established to “determine effective healthcare policies that will benefit all Texans,” Mr. Patterson said in a Nov. 3 announcement.

2. Dr. Royer is assistant chief of orthopedic surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and clinical assistant professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine in Bryan.

3. He serves on the board of directors of United Surgical Partners of Dallas and Dallas County Medical Society.
