ChristianaCare considers $4.8M joint spine ASC

Newark, Del.-based ChristianaCare and Delaware Neurosurgical Group have filed a notice of intent with state regulators to consider the development of a joint venture spine surgery center, according to an Oct. 28 Delaware Business Times report.

What you should know:

1. The ASC would cost $4.8 million in capital expenses and be located at ChristianaCare’s Wilmington, Del., campus.

2. The facility would have six operating rooms.

3. The organizations are negotiating an operating and management agreement for the ASC. They have at least 30 days to submit their application to the Delaware Health Resources Board.

4. Delaware Neurosurgical Group has eight physicians, eight physician assistants and four offices, according to its website.
