Tucson, Ariz.-based Northwest Healthcare has invested $45 million into the 18-bed hospital and plans to increase its number of beds in the future.
The hospital’s second floor, to be completed in February or March, will house medical offices for orthopedic surgery, general surgery and gastroenterology, among other specialties.
Most positions have been filled at the hospital, which plans to have 50 staff upon opening.
Northwest Medical Center-Sahuarita will be the town’s first hospital, according to the news outlet.
