Mr. Dahl dealt with a shoulder injury since January. He landed on the injured list toward the end of the season.
Dr. Dugas repaired a tear and fraying in Mr. Dahl’s labrum. He also removed a small bone spur and removed the bursa sac.
Mr. Dahl will begin rehabilitation immediately.
Dr. Dugas is an orthopedic surgeon at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Birmingham, Ala.
