Dr. Heary will oversee the program to ensure the hospital delivers evidence-based care.
He earned his medical degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed a residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark and completed a fellowship at Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Heary is a past vice president of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
