Illinois hospital welcomes Dr. Abdul Foad

Orthopedic surgeon Abdul Foad, MD, has joined the medical staff at Morrison (Ill.) Community Hospital, Clinton Herald reports.

Three things to know:

1. Dr. Foad specializes in arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgeries, cartilage repair and transplantation, reconstructive surgery and sports injuries.

2. He completed a sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship at the International Olympic Trauma and Research Center in Oslo, Norway, where he treated Olympic athletes.

3. Earlier this year, Dr. Foad published a textbook, “Disorders of the Rotator Cuff and Biceps Tendon.”
