New York neurosurgeon pays $290K for private airport

Neurosurgeon Michael Landi, MD, has purchased Hamburg Airport in Lakeview, N.Y., Buffalo News reported Aug. 27.

The 27-acre private airport cost Dr. Landi $290,000 and features a control tower, landing strip, runway, hangar and office building.

Dr. Landi is the lead surgeon at Williamsburg, N.Y.-based Brain & Spine Center, part of Invision Health, which he founded 20 years ago.

He is also chief of neurological surgery at Kenmore Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y., and director of its spine center.
