Healthcare rankings authority Dexur analyzed Medicare claims for the cost of care over a 90-day period for hip and knee replacements at hospitals in New York City, with Hospital for Special Surgery, Lenox Hill Hospital and NYU Langone’s Tisch Hospital demonstrating the lowest average cost of care.

The average 90-day cost per hospitalization for total hip and knee replacements was $19,970 at HSS, $25,066 at Lenox Hill Hospital and $26,288 at Tisch Hospital.
