Dr. Barden graduated from ABAC in 1958 before pursuing career in orthopedic surgery.
He operated as CEO of the Watson Clinic in Lakeland, Fla., served on the Watson Clinic Foundation Board for 20 years, and is a former president of the medical staff of Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
Throughout the course of his career Dr. Barden completed almost 20 medical missions and volunteered on numerous occasions at an emergency field hospital in Iraq.
After retiring in 2008, he joined the faculty at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he completed his orthopedic residency.
