North Carolina system turns orthopedic urgent care unit into respiratory clinic

Hendersonville, N.C.-based Pardee UNC Health Care recently transitioned its urgent care center in Fletcher, N.C., into a respiratory clinic, Mountain Xpress reports

Three things to know:

1. The system’s two other urgent care facilities in Hendersonville and Mills River are treating patients for orthopedic injuries and conditions not related to respiratory illness. 

2. No COVID-19 testing will be performed at any of the urgent care centers. Flu and strep testing will be provided at the Fletcher facility.

3. Pardee UNC Health Care consists of Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, three urgent care locations and five orthopedic clinics.
