Elvis Francois, MD, and William Robinson, MD, chief residents in the orthopedic department of Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic, went viral March 24 with a rendition of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ posted to Dr. Francois’ Instagram account.

Dressed in scrubs, Dr. Robinson played the piano while Dr. Francois sang. The tribute was accompanied by photographs of their Mayo Clinic colleagues treating patients with COVIID-19 in the background.

The surgeons have three months left before they complete their residency program.

The lineup of virtual performances on Elton John’s show included Alicia Keys, Dave Grohl, Sam Smith and the Backstreet Boys.

The full show is available on YouTube for a limited time.
