Orthopedic surgeon Melissa Koenig, MD, joined Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain, Mich., The Daily News reports.

1. Specializing in foot and ankle care, Dr. Koenig comes to DCHS from the Colorado Permanente Medical Group in Denver.

2. Dr. Koenig graduated from Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia and completed a fellowship at UPMC in Pittsburgh.

3. Her professional associations include the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
