Illinois group opens orthopedic, sports medicine clinic with Dr. Scott Urch — 3 insights

Springfield, Ill.-based HSHS Medical Group opened an orthopedic and sports medicine clinic in Greenville, Ill., The Telegraph reports.

What you should know:

1. Orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist Scott Urch, MD, will offer surgical and nonsurgical treatments at the new location.

2. Dr. Urch is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, as well as a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

3. After graduating from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Dr. Urch completed an internship and residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He also underwent fellowship training at Methodist Sports Medicine Center in Indianapolis.
