Orthopedic specialists rank No. 4 for happiness at work, neurologists come in last

When it comes to happiness at work, orthopedic providers are the fourth most satisfied, according to a Medscape survey of 15,181 physicians across 29-plus specialties.

Four more insights:

1. Thirty-four percent of orthopedic physicians surveyed reported being happy at work.

2. Fifty-eight percent of orthopedic specialists said they’re happy outside of work.

3. Dermatologists were the happiest specialists at work, and neurologists were the least happy on the job.

4. Just 18 percent of neurologists said they’re happy at work, and 44 percent reported being happy outside of work.
