Meadowlands Hospital in New Jersey Appoints Dr. Raphael Longobardi Chief of Orthopedic Surgery

Raphael S. F. Longobardi, MD, has been named the chairman of the orthopedic surgery department at Meadowlands Hospital and Medical Center in Secaucus, N.J., according to a hospital news release.

Dr. Longobardi is a board-certified orthopedic and sports medicine physician with an expertise in shoulder, knee and elbow reconstruction and repair. In addition to his appointment, Dr. Longobardi will maintain his private sports medicine practice in Hackensack, N.J. During his career, he has served as a team physician and consultant for the Florida Marlins, US Tennis Association and the NY Islanders hockey team.

Dr. Longobardi earned his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic residency at New York University Medical Center. His additional training includes a fellowship at the Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic at the University of Tennessee.
