Four quick notes:
1. HSS plans to open its West Palm Beach location, dubbed HSS Florida, later this month and has named Dr. Asnis medical director.
2. Dr. Asnis previously served as head team physician and medical director for the Boston Bruins, head team orthopedic surgeon for the Boston Red Sox and team physician for the New England Patriots. He is a knee and shoulder specialist whose practice focuses on sports injuries.
3. When HSS Florida opens, Dr. Asnis will lead a team of eight additional physicians to serve patients in West Palm Beach.
4. Prior to joining Mass General, Dr. Asnis completed his orthopedic residency at HSS, where he earned the Jean C. McDaniel Resident Teaching and Leadership Award. He also completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Mass General in Boston.
