Alta Spine receives FDA clearance for cervical spine plating system — 3 insights

Alta Spine recently gained FDA 510 (k) clearance for its V3 guided segmental cervical plating system for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion.

Three insights:

1. The V3 system was developed to compliment the company’s HiJAK AC — an expandable cervical interbody — that was launched in March.

2. The device promotes the use of less invasive, individual plates for multi-level constructs, decreasing the dissection and retraction required to perform an ACDF.

3. The V3 system, combined with HiJAK — which offers adjustable lordosis up to 20 degrees — enables surgeons to address each diseased segment individually.
