Dr. Manny Sethi to step down from nonprofit to focus on US Senate campaign

Orthopedic trauma surgeon and U.S. Senate candidate Manny Sethi, MD, will step down as president and CEO of Nashville, Tenn.-based nonprofit Healthy Tennessee, reports Oak Ridger.

Healthy Tennessee is a preventative health nonprofit that aims to create comprehensive health and wellness fairs in the state.

A conservative Republican, Dr. Sethi’s U.S Senate campaign will focus on repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act, combating the opioid epidemic and tackling the immigration crisis along the southern border.

Dr. Sethi’s wife and cofounder of Healthy Tennessee, Maya Sethi, will assume the responsibilities of president and CEO.
