Lynchburg-based OrthoVirginia sold the 88,000-square-foot medical office building housing one of its practices to Montecito Medical Real Estate.

1. The Nashville, Tenn.-based healthcare real estate company expanded its footprint in Virginia through the acquisition.

2. The medical office building was built for OrthoVirginia, which fully occupies the building. OrthoVirginia physicians provide general orthopedic care, physical therapy, sports medicine services and care for joint replacement patients in the space.

3. Montecito Medical acquired three medical office buildings from OrthoVirginia.
