EmergeOrtho surgeon writes 2nd medical thriller

A second novel by EmergeOrtho’s Thomas B. Kelso II, MD, will be available from Amazon on Aug. 8, StarNewsOnline.com reports.

Four highlights:

1. Dr. Kelso wrote a sequel to his 2018 medical thriller, Fractured, called Hyperion’s Fracture.

2. Both published by Jolly Robin Press, the novels tell the story of a former Naval orthopedic trauma surgeon named Dr. Mark Thurman, who develops a groundbreaking fracture treatment involving 3D printing and stem cells.

3. Dr. Kelso practices at EmergeOrtho’s Shallotte, N.C., location, and at Southport, N.C.-based Dosher Memorial Hospital and Bolivia, N.C.-based Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center.

4. He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, completed a residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (Va.), and received fellowship training through the American College of Sports Medicine in Indianapolis.
