2 hospitals expanding spine programs

Here are two hospitals expanding spine and neurosurgeon programs.

Shenandoah, Texas-based Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center opened a dedicated Neurosciences Comprehensive Patient Care Unit to centralize its 24/7 neurological care offerings. It features a 12-bed neuro-intensive care unit, specially designed beds for spine injuries and an eight-bed epilepsy unit.

Newburgh, Ind.-based Ascension Saint Vincent Orthopedic Hospital, focusing on spine, bone and joint care, opened July 8. The $95 million, 135,000-square-foot hospital features 24 inpatient rooms, 10 ORs and two procedure rooms.
