Virginia medical center breaking ground on $14M medical office building, surgery center — 3 insights

Suffolk, Va.-based Lakeview Medical Center at Harbour View recently broke ground on a $14 million, 42,000-square-foot medical office building complex with an ambulatory surgery center, the Suffolk News-Herald reports.

1. The complex is a joint venture between Suffolk-based Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center and Chesapeake, Va.-based Bayview Physicians Group.

2. Bayview Physicians Group President and CEO Jim Hartz said the center will open next summer.

3. The center will offer OB-GYN, pulmonary, cardiology, orthopedic and surgical services.
