Indiana orthopedic practice expands with new sports medicine care facility

Portage, Ind.-based Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute expanded its sports medicine care with a new Sports Rehabilitation and Health Enhancement Center.

Four things to know:

1. The 5,500-square-foot facility provides injury treatment, return-to-play care and sports-specific conditioning programs.

2. It features fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeons, a board-certified sports physical therapist, a clinical psychologist, certified athletic trainers and a master’s level exercise physiologist.

3. Tools made available by the center include cardiovascular equipment, weight racks, VertiMax speed and vertical jump training, TRUE stretch flexibility training, Keiser Infinity Series cable fitness and a track and turf field.

4. The facility will also house several programs, including sports physical therapy, return to play, medical fitness consulting, individual training, group training and running analysis.
