Recent improvements in technology have increased the effectiveness, efficiency and popularity of total ankle replacement, an alternative to ankle fusion surgery.

During the procedure, Dr. Pappas will use a Wright Total Ankle System, which provides customized implants and precise surgical plans for optimal accuracy and high-performance new ankles.

Key benefits of total ankle replacement include pain relief from arthritis; more natural movement than other procedures; and an earlier return to walking and activities compared to other procedures.
