Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth is holding its 17th annual Memorial Gala to raise funds for a new orthopedic and spine center, The Gazette reports.

1. UCHealth wants to build a medical office building to house the UCHealth Center for Orthopedics and UCHealth Spine Institute.

2. The gala will be the primary fundraiser for the new centers.

3. Several orthopedic surgeons emphasized the importance of the new centers.

4. James Duffey, MD, said, “If you look at Colorado Springs, just as a community, … our growth is phenomenal here, and as a medical community the task is, we need to keep up with that.”
