Dr. Thomas Clanton Performs Ankle Surgery on Los Angeles Angels Infielder Kendrys Morales

Thomas Clanton, MD, former team physician for the Houston Rockets and Houston Texans and current director of foot and ankle sports medicine at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., performed ankle surgery on Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim first baseman Kendrys Morales, according to an MLB report.

Mr. Morales injured his ankle while celebrating a game-winning grand slam at the plate. Dr. Clanton cleared out scar tissue and debris before performing a bone graft.

Mr. Morales previously underwent ankle surgery last year.
