The 74,000-square-foot facility will include 30 orthopedic beds and will be located on the campus of Southern Bone and Joint Specialists. The project is expected to cost more than $30 million and includes orthopedic operating rooms, pre-operative and recovery rooms, physical and occupational therapy and laboratory and diagnostic imaging services.
Practice President Elliott Nipper, MD, expects the new facility to become a regional referral center in orthopedics. The hospital is scheduled to open for patients in Oct. 2012.
